Hidden quests are quests that do not show up in our quest journal - we need to find them on our own!
Letter in a bottle
X: 256 Y: 233 - Mysterious bottle is floating in the water by the Thorn Rocks.
Our task is to find out who is the recipient of the bottle message.
↓
Content of the letter brings us to the tree with Landon ♥ Anna sign.
↓
To find out more, you need to go to the only person named Landon we know - the shepherd on the Everwind Fields. When we talk to him, he recalls a love story of his from when he was young and decides to write a response to the letter. He asks us to put it in a bottle and throw it to the ocean, hoping the destiny will deliver the message to his old lover.
↓
James from Fort Pinta turns out to be helpful with this task. During our first try we put the bottle on the end of a small bridge on the Fort Pinta beach (X: 231 Y: 260).
However this doesn't work.
↓
In the second try we decide to use a cannon to shoot the bottle to the water. We need cannon powder for that (you can find it in a tower above the disco) and of course, the cannon (it's on the higher floor than the cannon powder). We successfuly complete our task.
X: 235 Y: 273

When we get back to Landon, he gives us a blanket as a thank you.
Package by the road
X: 275 Y: 196 - The package is lying by the main road leading to Firgrove Village.
↓
Person responsible for delivering packages is Derek, who can be found at Silverglade Village. You need to go see him after you find the package.
He informs us the recipient of the package lives in Firgrove but their name is blurry. You can only read two letters: F....y.
↓
The recipient is Felicyty, who can be found at Firgrove Village, by the stable.
Inside the package there was a saddle and Felicity gives it to us to thank us for the help.
Lost watch
The watch is lying on the highest floor of Jorvik City Plaza, in the place marked above.
↓
It turns out that Yuna, saleswoman in the horse accesories store, is the owner of the watch. You need to give it back to her.
Lost keys
The keys are lying in the clothing store at Jorvik City Plaza, in the marked place.

It turns out that Alyx, saleswoman in the horse equipment store, is the owner of the keys. You need to give them back to her.
Texas Bluebell
X: 105 Y: 256 - In Greendale a beautiful music can be heard. Music notes just by the road show where you can start the quest.
↓
The notes and sound lead us to the woods where we find Lisa, Starshine and a mysterious companion - a foal. Lisa is looking for its mother but unfortunately the mare can't be found. Our task now is to safely deliver the foal to Jorvik Stables where it will be able to live and grow. Herman recognises that the foal is a Starbreed and welcomes it to his stable.
To have this hidden questline available, you need to complete a quest in which you save Lisa from Pandoria. This short questline is a reference to a short story Texas Bluebell by Helena Dahlgren.
A mysterious stack in the woods
X: 78 Y: 130 - The stack can be found in Goldenleaf Forest.
↓
To dig out the stack you need a shovel that you can borrow from Jasper at the Pumpkin Farm.
Inside the stack there's a locked chest. To open it you need a crowbar that can be borrowed from Rob and Bob.
↓
There's a bridle inside that is given to us as a prize.
Frozen vet
X: 388 Y: 87 - Zamarznięta kobieta znajduje się w Dolinie Zamarzniętej Mgły.
The woman is so frozen that she can't talk. You need to get her to Nic Stoneground's camp where she'll be able to get herself warm. It turns out that this woman is a vet that was travelling by helicopter with Elsa Einstein who forgot about her after the crash. The vet decides she wants to stay at the camp and now we can use her services in Dino Valley.
The questline becomes available when we start quests with Elsa Einstein and helicopter crash.
Red fox
Activation
To start this hidden questline you need to go to Aideen's Whisper in Goldenhills Valley.
X: 88 Y: 99 - Many mushrooms grow in the canyon but finding the right ones (the ones I marked on the map) and clicking on them lets you call the fox.
You need to remember about a very important detail: it's turning on the wild horse mode. You need to click ESC, choose the Creative tab and mark the become a Wild Horse option. It will let you talk to the fox that is not really trustful towards people.
After clicking the right mushroom a cutscene will appear on which the fox runs towards our horse and stops in a place where we'll be able to talk to him. The animal will inform us that everyday for the whole week you'll be able to find him in different places on the island and that it'll have different tasks for you each day.
Searching
On each day of the week the fox can be found in different place. To complete the whole questline and get the prize, you need to complete all the seven days of the week. A little reminder: you need to be a wild horse to be able to talk to the fox!
Monday
X: 389 Y: 74 - Valley of Hidden Dinosaur, Ice Forest.
Monday task is to complete the dinosaur race.
Tuesday
X: 46 Y: 102 - Goldenhills Valley, by the Smugglers Roost (a cave nearby the trail where the Light Ride goes).
The Tuesday task is another race but this time there's a special guest that joins in - Galloper Thompson!
X: 167 Y: 316 - Mirror Marshes, on one of the smallest isles.
Wednesday task gives us a little time for recharge. The fox invites us to the camp by Guardian's Dale where Lisa is performing one of her songs.
Thursday
X: 105 Y: 250 - The Harvest Counties, on the route of the Greendale race.
Thursday task is playing a hide and seek game! The fox can be found in one of these 7 places and it's random for each player.
X: 356 Y: 326 - Mistfall, by the Peregrine Trail, you need to get off the main road.
Directions:
To unlock the Peregrine Trail you need to have a reputation level popular with Jorvik Rangers: Mistfall Station and clear the road during the quests.
This time the fox wants us to find its friends and to invite them. It's best to start looking for them in Dundull:
Dundull, near one of the houses.
The woods by an area with cut tree trunks near Jorvik Rangers' station.
Jorvik Rangers' Mistfall Station, behind one of the buildings.
On a hill over the Jorvik Rangers' Mistfall Station.
Bramble Gorge, on a race route.
After finding all friends of the fox, you need to go to the end of Peregrine Trail (you need to go futher than the place where you found the fox that day).
When you get there, there's the fox awaiting for you with its friends and they invite you to dance!
Saturday
X: 129 Y: 176 - Grape Fields by Silverglade Vineyard.
The Saturday task is a race with the fox on our horse's back.
Sunday
X: 380 Y: 320 - By the lake in Mistfall.
The fox doesn't have a challenge for us on this day because it's too hungry. To help it, you need to find food for it:
Berry Hill
On a glade near the main road
Near the cottage between Dundull and the lake in Mistfall
Trash bin by the shop with accessories in Dundull
Trash bin by the shop with horse equipment in Dundull
Trash bin by one of the houses in Dundull
By the river going into the lake in Mistfall
After finding all the food you can meet the fox at a camping place in Mistfall, one of the higher condignations of the place.
Ending
After finishing all 7 tasks the fox can be found in Aideen's Whisper again, in the exact place where the journey began. After a small talk it gives us a fox mask.
Explanation
Let's put it like this, I have more than one identity. I am a trace, a piece, a memory from someone who used to belong to a tale about a pixel team. Hihi!
This place [Valley of Hidden Dinosaur] is dear to me, I was still a cub when I was introduced to the tale about the pixels. Squeak! Have you heard about them?
Sniff, sniff. Oh! The tales about pixels, that is where everything began, at least for me.
My story started here...At this very cold and chilly place! [Valley of Hidden Dinosaur] At the time, I was afraid to roam here, but I am not afraid anymore. Hihi!
Those are a couple of dialogues from the fox from the start of the questline and the Valley of Hidden Dinosaur tasks.
Tales about pixels... sounds familiar? Pixel Tales was a company founded in 2004 that produced games like Starshine Legacy, Star Stable (the offline one) and Star Academy. In 2015 it was bought by Star Stable Entertainment AB and currently is a part of SSEAB. Another company was also a part in the making of the three games I've just mentioned (the games are a part of the Jorvik universe): a company called Hidden Entertainment (previously Hidden Dinosaur) founded by Michael Stenmark. The whole area of Valley of Hidden Dinosaur is a reference to that second company and Nic Stoneground was inspired by its founder. When we translate Stenmark from Swedish to English, we get Stoneground. It's fair to say that this questline is a tribute to one of the people that worked at Pixel Tales and most probably, started their adventure with game development there. Atleast that's what the dialogues tell us, but we can only guess what's the truth...
I think there is also a hidden quest in Gouverneursfall on the right side of Leonardo at X:7 Y:9 between the Café and the hedge in the corner.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the info ♥ That quest is in the quest log though so I decided I won't add it to the page :)
